A Sensitivity Matrix Based Microwave Tomography Exploiting an Adjoint Network Theorem

چکیده
A reconstruction algorithm for microwave imaging based on the Modified Perturbation Method (MPM) is proposed. Both the object conductivity (σ) and permittivity (ε) are reconstructed. The original Perturbation method developed for static problems was modified in order to apply in time harmonic problem in higher frequency. The Jacobian matrix is now calculated in closed form employing an adjoint network theorem in conjunction with the reciprocity theorem of electromagnetics. A number of successful reconstructions were carried out for different complex permittivity profiles, but all of them based on a computer phantom approach.

Efficient Transmission Line Modeling Sensitivity Analysis Exploiting Rubber Cells
The adjoint variable method is applied for the first time to perform sensitivity analysis with transmission line modeling exploiting rubber cells. Rubber cells allow for the conformal modeling of off-grid boundaries in the transmission line modeling computational domain using modified tensor properties. The scattering matrix of the rubber cell is analytically dependent on the dimensions of the ...
متن کاملSensitivity Analysis of Coupled Resonator Filters
Expressions for the sensitivity of coupled resonator filters with respect to the entries of the coupling matrix and the resistive terminations are presented. It is shown that the sensitivities of the network are all determined from a single analysis at a given frequency. The approach allows the elimination of the potentially time-consuming Monte Carlo analysis, which is used in tolerance analys...
متن کاملTr Adjoint Imaging Method for Mitat
Most of the current imaging methods in microwave induced thermoacoustic tomography (MITAT) system assume that the heterogeneous sound velocity (SV) and density distribution are given or subject to Gaussian distribution. These situations generally are not satisfied. To improve multi-targets thermoacoustic sources imaging quality in a heterogeneous tissue, an iterative TR adjoint imaging method i...
متن کاملMATRIX VALUATION PSEUDO RING (MVPR) AND AN EXTENSION THEOREM OF MATRIX VALUATION
Let R be a ring and V be a matrix valuation on R. It is shown that, there exists a correspondence between matrix valuations on R and some special subsets ?(MVPR) of the set of all square matrices over R, analogous to the correspondence between invariant valuation rings and abelian valuation functions on a division ring. Furthermore, based on Malcolmson’s localization, an alternative proof for t...
متن کاملNonreciprocal Microwave Bianisotropic Materials: Reciprocity Theorem and Network Reciprocity
There are many attempts to generalize the reciprocity theorem for bianisotropic media. With formal introduction of notion of reaction for bianisotropic media, we can formulate reciprocity conditions for medium parameters. We can also extend the procedure used for a gyrotropic medium and consider the complementary, or the Lorentz-adjoint, bianisotropic medium, which satisfies the reciprocity the...
